Enterprise application Management (eAM) Workshop

Text Box: Executive Summary

The goal of enterprise technology is to provide reliable, cost-effective application services to corporate end-users. Too often, however, applications management tools fail to support critical business objectives. IT personnel work in isolated silos of technology, with limited coordination and correlation of activity and tools. Firefighting consumes too much time, and opportunities for business-based IT direction, increased application availability, proactive management and rapid problem resolution are lost. Systems management policies and processes that could enhance IT efficiency are overlooked, due to the daily pressures to react to problems.

CMC Systems developed the Enterprise Application Management (EAM) Workshop to address
these problems. This workshop is the distillation of nearly twenty years client-server experience. The
workshop focuses on the mission critical business applications and their potential failure points.
In this way, and by coordinating the activities of various IT support groups, much higher applications availability can be achieved. An additional benefit is increased interaction of various IT support groups, and higher return on IT investments. Through a proven, repeatable process, CMC Systems helps
your IT organization develop a best-practices approach to managing the performance of your enterprise applications.

Process

The EAM workshop program consists of the following steps:
